How is induction performed?

2D Animation

This was part of a series of animations created in collaboration with TVASurg. The content is based on TVASurg’s Patient Education: Induction of Labour website. We were tasked to transform the existing content into short, engaging and informative animations to be published on Instagram and YouTube Shorts. Each member was responsible for a set of shots, while adhering to a predefined style guide.

Storytelling

I was responsible for creating the initial thumbnail sketches that would dictate the flow and progression of the story. These thumbnails were turned into storyboards by Molly, one of my team members. Then passed back to me for revisions before send-off for client feedback and sign-off.

Visual development

Based on the moldboard created by Lauren, one of my team members, I developed the visual style of the animation.

To create an accurate visual still frame, I sourced references of pregnant women in hospital beds.

References were housed and shared via FigJam.

Assets and the visual style frame were developed on Illustrator.

Creating the animation

For the final animation, I worked on the first and last scenes that involved re-using assets I created for the visual frame, along with assets made by team members.
