Hidradenitis supprativa

An educational infographic about Hidradenitis supprativa(HS). HS is a chronic auto-inflammatory skin condition that causes lumps and abscesses to develop on sensitive areas of the body. It affects over 4% of Canadians, though the number of individuals living with this condition is likely higher due to the lack of awareness and misdiagnosis.

The goal of this piece was to contribute to HS awareness and to visualize this condition in a dark-skinned, larger-bodied woman—a population that is more likely to develop HS, yet is rarely portrayed in HS patient materials.
